The PIR36 is a Passive Infra-red sensor (PIR sensor) that is an electronic device measuring infra-red (IR) light radiating from objects in its field of view. Apparent motion is detected when an infra-red source with one temperature, such as a human, passes in front of an infrared source with another temperature, such as a wall. Any object, even one exactly the same temperature as the surrounding objects will cause the PIR to activate if it moves in the field of the sensor. The PIR36 is compact with a wide detecting area, it is portable, easy to install and suitable for
indoor use only. Units can be installed on a wall horizontally or vertically or placed on a desk top. The PIR36 also functions as an annunciator.
